Medina County Historical Society nears goal for new History Center project

Capital campaign reaches 68% of $1.3 million target to fund museum expansion and preservation facility

The Medina County Historical Society has raised about 68% of its $1.3 million goal to build a new History Center that will preserve local history and serve as a hub for education and community events.
The Medina County Historical Society is nearing its fundraising goal to build a new History Center that will showcase exhibits, host educational programs, and preserve the county’s historical archives for future generations.

The Medina County Historical Society announced that it has reached about 68% of its $1.3 million capital campaign goal to build a new History Center and improve the nearby parking area for guests. The planned facility will serve as a central hub for exhibitions, educational programs and archival preservation, helping ensure Medina County’s rich history remains accessible for generations to come.

The new History Center will include a first floor and loft, along with a full basement designed to house an extensive collection of historical documents and archives in a secure, climate-controlled environment for preservation and research.

The project supports several key goals for the community: preserving Medina County’s historical records and artifacts, providing space for school programs and community learning, hosting rotating exhibitions celebrating local and national heritage, and supporting local contractors and suppliers during construction.

“We invite the community to join us in reaching our goal,” said Brian Feron, president of the Medina County Historical Society. “This new History Center will be a cornerstone for education, community pride and historical preservation.”
