Medina City Schools begins new strategic planning process
District leaders invite parents, staff, students and residents to join focus groups and surveys as they set new goals for the next three to five years.
Medina City Schools has launched a new strategic planning process to shape the district’s direction over the next three to five years.
The initiative comes on the heels of the successful completion of the district’s three-year strategic plan at the close of the 2024-25 school year. The new plan is designed to ensure that the district’s mission, vision and goals continue to foster growth, innovation and improvement while serving students, families and the broader community.
District leaders emphasize that community voices will play a central role in shaping the plan. Parents, guardians, staff, students and residents are encouraged to share their insights to help align the district’s goals with shared priorities and aspirations.
Opportunities for input will include a series of focus groups. In-person sessions will take place Wednesday, Sept. 24, and Thursday, Oct. 2, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Medina High School Media Center, 777 E. Union St. A virtual session will be held Thursday, Sept. 25, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. via Zoom. Registration is available at medinabees.org.
In addition, the district will launch an online survey in early October to gather further feedback. The survey will give participants a chance to share experiences, priorities and hopes for the future of Medina City Schools. Feedback from focus groups, surveys, interviews and research will directly inform the development of the district’s next set of strategic goals.
“We want this plan to reflect the voices of our entire community,” Superintendent Aaron Sable said. “By working together, we can create a roadmap that not only supports student success today, but also prepares us for the future.”
