Blue Star Mothers Chapter 26 marks 20 years of service to military families

Anniversary celebration Nov. 15 in Fairview Park honors two decades of support for troops, veterans and their loved ones

Blue Star Mothers of America Inc. Ohio Buckeyes Chapter 26 will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. at American Legion Post 421, 22001 Brookpark Road in Fairview Park. The public is invited to attend.

Founded in 2005, the Ohio Buckeyes Chapter 26 serves Cuyahoga, Lorain and Medina counties and is dedicated to supporting military personnel, veterans and their families. The group sends care packages to deployed troops, volunteers at veterans’ programs and hospitals across the state, donates to veterans’ homes and attends military funerals.

Membership is open to military mothers who have a son or daughter serving or who has served in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. Associate memberships are available for other family members and friends.

The anniversary celebration offers a chance for new military moms to connect with others who understand the unique challenges of having a child serving the country.
