West Holmes girls basketball comes up short in regional semis
Knights fall to Circleville in Div. IV regional semifinal, concluding their playoff run
The West Holmes girls basketball team’s season came to an end with a 46-34 loss to Circleville in a Division IV regional semifinal March 3.
Zalina Proper (13 points, four steals), Briar Cline (nine points) and Rorie Wilcox (eight rebounds) paced the Knights.
West Holmes captured a Div. IV district title with a 49-45 win over Carrollton in a district final Feb. 28.
Cline (23 points, nine rebounds, three assists, three steals), Proper (13 points, seven rebounds, three steals) and Cara McMillen (four rebounds) led WH.
West Holmes picked up a 45-41 win over Morgan in a Div. IV district semifinal Feb. 25.
Proper (19 points), Cline (11 points, three steals) and Mati Fair (eight steals) paced the Knights.
Girls bowling
West Holmes finished ninth out of 14 teams at the Div. I Shawnee Lanes District Feb. 25.
Aubree Young led the Knights with a 524 series, rolling games of 138, 193 and 193. Madison Brenneman added a 440 series (136-149-155) while Lily Galehouse chipped in a 392 series (130-125-137).
Boys basketball
West Holmes’ season came to an end with a 73-32 loss to Maysville in a Div. IV sectional final Feb. 27.
Coi Beachy (eight points), Keston McKinney (eight) and Nate Sprang (seven) led the Knights.
