As the new year begins in its brand-new way,
We can be reminded that God still makes the day.
Each day is filled from sunrise to sunset.
As our mouths praise the Lord, his peace he will let.
What's ahead, we don't know,
But we trust God in each day's show.
We believe God; he has a good plan,
And Jesus Christ is the Son of man.
Jesus rules, and he forever reigns.
He is master in our day and through life's pains.
Each day is an opportunity to speak to others,
Of all God's wondrous works to sisters and brothers.
There are many who make New Year's resolutions.
Let ours be that Jesus has all our solutions.
Others may have good intentions,
But Jesus gives lasting directions.
"Love never fails" is written in the Bible.
It's one of God's truths for our survival.
Philippians 4:13 says, "Through Christ I can."
It's all part of God's salvation plan.
If in each day God's promises we hold fast,
We will find it's God's truth that will last.
God is able to do abundantly all we could ask or think.
When we believe, we're no longer on life's edge or brink.
Our hope is in Jesus for our daily walk.
Our words should reflect God's grace in our talk.
God gives us confidence for every life task.
He knows what we need before we ask.
Let this be the year where our faith and love in Christ increase,
And more praises to Jesus' name will be spoken so strife ceases.
When we wake each morning with Jesus on our mind,
The first thanks we give to him will make us more kind.
This isn't just a remedy but a lasting and peaceful antidote,
Because when you're a Christ believer, Jesus is daily in your boat.
Each day can be faced with bravery from God's Son.
"Be courageous," God said, and about fear ... have none.
In the following days and months to come,
Let's keep on our mind a victory strum.
It's only through Jesus we can be victorious,
Since he is the only one who is glorious.
As we continuously seek and knock, we will find
The love of Jesus is truly one of a kind.
No matter what our goal in life is to meet,
When we walk with Jesus, it will be amazingly sweet.
Let this be our goal — to seek God's heart,
In all we do, beginning with the day's start.
And throughout the day, let's give God praise.
When it ends, our hands to him we exult and raise.
We can do this for all 365 days,
And at the end, we'll find God's love remains.
Our faith will have grown stronger, our roots deeper,
And always we will know the Lord is our forever keeper.
