Stars come out at Night to Shine event
Held in numerous locations worldwide, Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine transforms the typical prom experience into a celebration tailored to embrace each participant.
The event invites churches and communities to create an evening for individuals with special needs, complete with red carpets, decorations and glamour. Participants are treated to hair and makeup stations and professional photography and are greeted with applause as they make their way across the red carpet before dancing the evening away with friends and family.
The recent event marked the ninth year in Wooster, and according to organizer Sarah Meenan, efforts are already underway for next year’s 10th anniversary edition.
“Our team of volunteers is amazing. We meet all year to plan,” Meenan said. “When it finally comes together, it is the best feeling. We get such good feedback from our guests, who say it is their favorite time of the year. Seeing how special the night is keeps us going.”
