Save & Serve Thrift Shop hosted its Feb. 14 Benefit Day in support of Holmes County Rails to Trails, raising a total of $5,779 to help advance the organization’s work in the community.

Benefit Days are a regular part of Save & Serve’s mission. Several times throughout the year, the thrift shop designates a full day of store income to a local nonprofit or community initiative. The goal is to strengthen organizations that meet basic needs within the county and the wider community.

Holmes County Rails to Trails works to develop and maintain multi-use recreational trails throughout the county. These trails provide safe, accessible spaces for walking, biking and outdoor recreation while also supporting tourism and local businesses.

“Supporting Holmes County Rails to Trails is a natural fit for our mission,” said Eric Raber, general manager of Save & Serve. “Their work creates opportunities for families to spend time outdoors together. Benefit Days allow us to partner with organizations that are investing in the long-term health and flourishing of our community.”

Since launching Benefit Days, Save & Serve has helped direct tens of thousands of dollars to local nonprofits, ministries and community efforts. Each event is made possible by customers who choose to shop on designated days, knowing their purchases will have a broader impact.
