A community gathering focused on harm, safety and the law will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. May 7 at Norman Troyer Gym, 1522 Township Road 414, Dundee.
The event will include a live question-and-answer panel and is designed to encourage dialogue, questions and community engagement.
The discussion will explore the realities of abuse in Ohio communities and feature statewide stakeholders, including the Ohio Governor’s Human Trafficking Task Force, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations and Holmes and Wayne County officials.
Presenters will provide information on Ohio laws and address issues related to domestic violence, crime and abuse within churches and communities. Topics will include the impact of abuse on children and adults, as well as its effects on individuals, families and the broader community.
The event will also address challenges in identifying and reporting abuse and accessing services, while offering practical tools and pathways to help overcome these barriers and support safer communities.
