The members of the Ohio Hardwood Furniture Guild gave every opportunity to postpone the annual spring hardwood show. However, after pushing the early-April event back earlier this spring, the guild decided it had become too late in the season to host the event.

The Hardwood Furniture Guild announced the 2020 Spring Ohio Hardwood Furniture Market, which had been rescheduled for June 3-4, has been cancelled.

Originally scheduled for April 1-2 at Harvest Ridge and the Mt. Hope Event Center, the wholesale furniture show attracts buyers from all over the United States and Canada.

“Cancelling the spring show was a very difficult decision. It will add another layer of economic consequences from the coronavirus crisis,” said Shasta Mast, who coordinates the Hardwood Furniture Guild and its show. “However, our plans are still intact for the 2020 Fall Ohio Hardwood Furniture Market, scheduled for Sept. 16-17.”

Spring show vendor contracts will transfer to the September show, which is expected to be the largest Ohio Furniture Market ever. The Hardwood Furniture Guild is a committee of the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau.
