MWCD welcomes Alsept
Members of the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District Board of Directors approved the appointment of Bob Alsept during a recent meeting to the volunteer development advisory committee. The 20-member DAC serves in an advisory capacity to the MWCD Board of Directors and staff.
Alsept, a resident of New Philadelphia in Tuscarawas County, is completing his seventh year as the superintendent of Buckeye Career Center. Prior to BCC he served as superintendent of New Philadelphia City Schools for five years. He served various positions at New Philadelphia City Schools for a total of 19 years. He previously worked at the University of Akron, North Greenville University and West Liberty University as an assistant basketball coach and sports information director.
Alsept is a board member of Leadership Tuscarawas, board member of the business advisory council for the East Central Ohio Educational Service Center, member of the Buckeye Association School Administrators Legislative and Career Tech committees, and a member of the Community Improvement Corporation. He also is active in Kiwanis and recently served as campaign chair of the United Way of Tuscarawas County.
“The DAC is comprised of talented and highly esteemed individuals from around the district,” said Craig Butler, executive director of MWCD. “I look forward to working with Mr. Alsept to further enhance MWCD.”
The DAC was created by the MWCD Board of Directors in 1992 as an organized public support system for responsive and effective economic development, conservation and recreation programs. DAC members are appointed by the board of directors and serve staggered three-year terms, meeting quarterly.
