Local businesses took center stage at this year’s GAP Con conference, where community leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals gathered to share insights, strengthen connections and celebrate the organizations shaping the region’s future. As part of its mission to uplift and empower the local business ecosystem, GAP Con recognized three companies with its annual GROW, ACCELERATE and PROPEL Awards.
Introduced in 2023, the award program spotlights businesses that exemplify resilience, innovation, leadership and community impact. Each award category represents a different dimension of what strengthens the Northeast Ohio business community.
GROW Award: Creative Quo
The GROW Award honors more than business expansion. It celebrates organizations that embody innovation, resilience, community impact, sustainability and employee development. This year’s GROW Award recipient, Creative Quo, was recognized for its adaptability, commitment to its team and dedication to uplifting the broader community.
“Our local businesses are the backbone of our economy and the heart of our communities,” GAP Con organizers said. “Creative Quo represents the kind of growth-minded spirit that continues to drive our region forward.”
ACCELERATE Award: Tekton Engineering
The ACCELERATE Award recognizes a business that not only keeps pace with change, but also sets it. This year’s recipient, Tekton Engineering, was selected for its visionary leadership, agile decision-making, operational excellence and innovative approach to solving complex challenges.
“The ACCELERATE Award highlights businesses that create momentum and seize opportunities with foresight and intent,” organizers said. “Tekton Engineering continues to model what it means to accelerate strategically.”
PROPEL Award: ProVia
The PROPEL Award is designed to honor a business that propels its team, industry and community toward a stronger future. ProVia was recognized for its investment in employee development, its commitment to community well-being and its leadership in advancing industry standards.
“ProVia demonstrates the power of putting people first,” GAP Con representatives said. “Their efforts create positive ripple effects that extend well beyond their organization.”
GAP Con continues to highlight the ingenuity, collaboration and passion that define Northeast Ohio’s business landscape. Through these annual awards, the conference celebrates the role local companies play in strengthening the regional economy and building a thriving, connected community.
