The annual Harvest Fest Parade will take place in Berlin on
Sept. 6.
Since July 2003, the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce &
Tourism Bureau has worked alongside the Berlin Main Street Merchants to host the annual
Harvest Fest Parade. The date of the parade in September allows it to coincide with the annual Berlin Harvest Fest.
Harvest Fest activities include live music on the Berlin square, a rib
cook-off, food vendors, sales and specials.
The Harvest Fest Parade will step off at 6 p.m. on U.S. 62
in front of Berlin Mennonite Church. The parade will continue west on state
Route 39 and end at the Berlin Elementary School. Parade sign-in will be
located on Crilow Road. All entries must preregister for the event.
Berlin Gardens LLC is sponsoring the parade. Marching
bands, fire departments, local businesses, residents and children are invited
to participate.
To preregister a float, truck, walker or horse, fill out a
registration form and submit it to Michaela Miller at the Holmes County Chamber
of Commerce & Tourism Bureau via email, fax (330-674-3976), mail or in person or register online at www.holmescountychamber.com/harvestfestparade.
Call Miller at 330-204-9134 or email admin@holmescountychamber.com with any
questions.
There is no charge to participate. Entries are not numbered, and the lineup order is on a first come, first served basis.
For everyone’s safety, throwing candy from a vehicle is
prohibited. All entries passing out candy, food items, produce, promotional
items and such must have walkers to hand out the items and gently throw past cones.
All entries are due by Aug. 29. Registration is required to participate
and is limited to two entries per company.
