Centering Pregnancy offering group prenatal care
Centering Pregnancy is group prenatal care that prepares women for labor, delivery and parenting. During these appointments, expectant moms and providers work together to actively manage her health and pregnancy. Each appointment lasts about two hours, and appointments are conducted over 10 sessions. These sessions are spaced the same as individual appointments would be.
During the appointment, each mom has private, one-on-one time with her provider. In addition, moms participate with a small group of eight to 10 other mothers, along with their support people, in learning about and discussing pregnancy, parenting and birth-related topics.
Pregnant women can enroll in a group after seeing a Cleveland Clinic provider for an initial new-pregnancy visit. The program is offered in many area locations, including the Wooster Milltown Specialty and Surgery Center at 721 East Milltown Rd.
For those newly pregnant, call 1-866-320-4573 or contact CenteringPregnancy@ccf.org to schedule a visit.
