Wild & Scenic Film Festival in Canton
Stark Parks offers free screenings April 10 at Canton Cultural Center
Stark Parks will host the internationally acclaimed "Wild & Scenic Film Festival" on Friday, April 10, from 7-9 p.m. at the Canton Cultural Center for the Arts.
Originally held each winter in Nevada City, California, the festival celebrates the beauty and wonder of the natural world while inspiring audiences to protect it. Through a curated selection of short films, the event highlights environmental stewardship, outdoor adventure and community action.
Thanks to grant funding from the Herbert W. Hoover Foundation, Stark Parks is offering the event at no cost to attendees. In addition to the free public screening April 10, local middle school students will attend a special afternoon showing the same day.
The Canton Cultural Center for the Arts is located at 1001 Market Ave. N. Doors open at 6 p.m., and films begin at 7 p.m. Admission is free, but a ticket is required for entry. Cash concessions will be available.
Community members are encouraged to reserve tickets in advance, as seating is limited. For more information or to reserve tickets, visit StarkParks.com/FilmFestival.
Stark Parks manages 15 parks, four lakes, four historic properties and more than 120 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails, totaling more than 6,800 acres. For more information, visit StarkParks.com.
