Charity auction to benefit Love Our Community set for April 25
Event in Hartville will support veterans and domestic violence survivors
Love Our Community and Daniel Gallagher of Gallahon Auctions and Ken Corbin of Auction Nemesis are joining together to present a special charity auction benefiting LOC on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 10 a.m. at 1289 Edison St. NW, Hartville. The public is invited.
LOC is a local organization dedicated to providing a lifeline for those who served the country and those seeking safety from domestic violence. Every bid and donation from the auction will go toward providing housing, legal resources and essential support services for homeless veterans and victims of domestic violence in the community.
The community can help by attending the auction and bidding on a catalog featuring collectible antiquities, premium Whynter refrigeration items and other unique finds across categories. Those unable to attend can contribute by donating at loveourcommunity.net. Organizers also encourage residents to spread the word to friends and family.
As previously reported, LOC recently moved its Community Thrift store from 1236 Sunnyside St. NE in Hartville to the Hartville Marketplace at 1289 Edison St. NW, which will also serve as the auction location. Donations are no longer accepted at the Sunnyside Street site. For now, LOC asks residents to hold donations until it is settled in the Marketplace location or bring them to the LOC Mission Hub at 532 W. Maple St., Hartville. Donations may also be taken to the Hartville Thrift Shoppe at 938 W. Maple St. if needed.
LOC stated, “We are incredibly grateful for this community and the years of support and generosity. Because of this community, the mission of Love Our Community will continue to grow and impact lives in even greater ways. Thank you for being part of the journey—we can’t wait to see you in our new space!”
