Harrison Central volleyball falls 0-2 in OVAC semifinal round
Lady Huskies notch one set win but drop matches to Barnesville and Wellsville in three-team competition
Husky volleyballers 0-2 in 3-team OVAC semi
As the 2025 volleyball regular season winds down, Harrison Central volleyball hosted a three-team OVAC Semi with Wellsville and Barnesville on Oct. 8, with each playing the other two in a best-of-3 format.
Barnesville, 8-13 coming into the day, swept both of its matches in two sets. The Lady Shamrocks disposed of Wellsville rather easily, 25-8 and 25-7.
Barnesville then moved into a match with the host Lady Huskies, who fared a little better than Wellsville, falling in a pair of 25-9 sets.
In the final match of the evening, pitting Harrison Central and Wellsville, the Lady Huskies shot out of the gate for a 25-17 first-set victory.
The Lady Tigers, however, regained their composure to win the second set 25-18 and then take the match with a 25-13 win in the deciding set.
