Harrison Central boys soccer edges Cambridge and Carrollton for back-to-back wins
Huskies secure consecutive 2-1 victories at home with goals from Parker McAfee, Justin Scott and Triston Cole; goalie Brady McAfee tallies 11 saves across both matches.

The Harrison Central boys soccer team had home field advantage all week,
and it was a good one for the Huskies as both games resulted in victories. HC
first faced the Cambridge Bobcats and then the Carrollton Warriors.
On Tuesday, the Huskies struck early, hitting the net twice before
halftime. Parker McAfee led off the scoring, and soon after Justin Scott also
found the net, leaving the score at 2-0 at the break. Noah Thaxton and Cooper
Thompson were credited with assists.
The Bobcats attempted a comeback when returning to the field, scoring one
goal, but the Husky defense prevented further scoring. The final score was 2-1.
Player of the game was Justin Scott. Brady McAfee added five saves to his
total.
The Huskies took the home field again Thursday against Carrollton.
Harrison scored a goal in each half, with Triston Cole and Parker McAfee
accounting for the goals. Justin Scott added an assist. The Warriors tallied a
goal in the second half but were unable to complete a comeback, falling to the
Huskies 2-1. Brady McAfee recorded six saves, and Parker McAfee was named
player of the match.
The win brings the Huskies’ record to 4-4.
