Why should residents of Cadiz vote for you?

"I believe I possess several qualities that would serve the residents of Cadiz well. I am honest, trustworthy, civic-minded, and I love this town I call home. I was born and raised in Cadiz. I married David Ossman, also born and raised in Cadiz. We have one son, Evan. Together with my husband, we run our family business, Sickle's Garage, that has been in business since 1937 in this community. I am invested in this community. I will work diligently for the citizens of Cadiz to ensure they have a voice.

"I have over 20 years of experience in local government working for the village of Cadiz. That is why I feel I am the best candidate for the job."

Share some of your life experiences that qualify you to be on village council.

"I have an education in business and accounting as a co-owner of Sickles Garage. I am currently the treasurer for Cadiz High School Alumni. I’m a member of Scott UMC, Harrison County Choir, and I am a past treasurer for Cadiz village. I am the past president of the Cadiz Business Women’s Association and I am the past treasurer for Sally Buffalo Park Board. I was the director of Cadiz bible school for 14 years. I am a past member of Ohio Clerks Association. I was on the committee to bring soccer to Harrison Central High School. My past experience with local government and owning a business will help me point the future of Cadiz in the right direction."

What issues facing Cadiz are you most concerned about?

"Obviously, it would be the village water issues we are currently facing. I know the current administration has been working on this. However, there are still a lot of unanswered questions. The citizens have not been satisfied with the responses of public officials. I feel communication could have been handled better."

What sets you apart from other candidates?

"As I said before, I have over 20 years of experience working with the village of Cadiz. I know the ins and outs of the village's day to day operation. I have a good working relationship with all employees. I have helped secure millions of dollars worth of grants for water plant, sewer plant, water and sewer lines, Sally Buffalo Park and stage along with equipment for all departments in the village. I have overseen village ordinances, contracts and resolutions. I have worked closely with the village solicitor, council, mayor, village engineer, USDA, FEMA, OWDA, OMEGA, OPDNR, BWC, Ohio Publicworks, HUD, US Army Corps and Ohio EPA. My knowledge of all of this will help the village move into the future."

What do you hope to accomplish if elected?

"When elected, I will serve the citizens of Cadiz, making their concerns my first priority. I will seek new grants and funding sources for our current water issues and aging infrastructure. I will review current policies, ordinances and resolutions and update as needed to serve the citizens of Cadiz. Most of all, I would like to have transparency and communication with the current administration and council. I would like to thank the citizens of Cadiz in advance for their vote Nov 4."
