Tiverton Institute highlights Coshocton history

Annual event at Grange Hall features local speakers and activities

The annual Tiverton Institute was held March 4-5 at the Grange Hall in Tiverton Center.

Singing was a big part of both days of the Tiverton Institute.

The annual Tiverton Institute was held March 4-5 at the Grange Hall in Tiverton Center. Activities included singing, contests, refreshments and a variety of speakers.

Ken Smailes shared the history of Coshocton County. Chris Hart presented “Oh Say Can’t You See,” and Sheriff Chris Walters shared about the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.

A representative from the veterans service office presented the history of the military, and Bob Buxton talked about the history of the Coshocton County Fair. Alice Hoover shared a Betsy Ross reenactment, and Glenn Kinkade talked about the history of the Coshocton County Home.
