Stein to speak at Coshocton Lenten Luncheon
Final luncheon March 25 at The Presbyterian Church supports Clothe a Child project
Envoy Corina Stein from The Salvation Army will be the speaker for the sixth and final Lenten Luncheon from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 at The Presbyterian Church, 142 N. Fourth Street, across from Court Square.
Stein and her husband Gary completed their Salvation Army seminary training together in New York 28 years ago. They have served together as lay leaders, officers and volunteers with three Ohio appointments and then stepped away from full-time service for a season of time. They were appointed to serve full-time service together in June 2025 in Coshocton.
The Steins have been married 38 years and have three children and six grandchildren. They are natives of Dover. Stein’s message will be “The Promise of Eternal Life” and is based on Scripture from Job 19:25-27 and John 10:27-30.
Church Women United, led by Christa Citola, coordinate churches that provide workers, soups and pies for the event. Members of Fellowship of Christian Athletes provide additional support with students from area high schools. West Lafayette United Methodist Church and The Presbyterian Church will provide soups and pies for this luncheon.
Those attending have a choice of two soups and pie. Tables are supplied with cheese provided by Pearl Valley Cheese. Donations are accepted to help defray expenses. All money above and beyond those expenses are used for the Clothe a Child project. This is the primary mission project of Church Women United. Last year 100 children, suggested by The Salvation Army, were helped with a new outfit and shoes to begin the new school year.
Parking is available in the lot adjacent to the church and in the city parking lot nearby.
