Santa pays surprise Christmas Eve visit to Midwest Community

AmVets and Blue Star Mothers bring holiday cheer, cookies and smiles to employees.

The employees at Midwest Community had a surprise visitor on Christmas Eve. The AmVets and Blue Star Mothers arranged for Santa to visit and see what everyone wanted for Christmas. BSM President Sharon Burns is retired from the Coshocton County Board of DD and said, "I have been retired for five years, and those who had been on my caseload still remembered me. They were so excited to meet Santa and his elf." Burns said everyone wanted their picture taken and to show the visitors what they do at Midwest and what is in their lockers. "They loved the cookies and cards we took to them," said Burns, pictured at left.
