On Jan. 3 the Black Bears were at Legacy Lanes for the River View Invite. The Bears finished third in the qualifying round to move on to the finals. In the finals the Bears fought all the way to the end but came up a pin short and finished in second place.

Leading the way for the Black Bears were senior Carter Hammersley with a 567 series, eighth place and second-team all-tournament; senior Konner Mercer with a 561 series, 10th place and second-team all-tournament; sophomore Gavin Gress with a 492 series; junior Kolton Duff with a 491 series; and freshman Colton Gress with a 481 series.
