Ridgewood recognizes Students of the Month across grade levels
District honors senior, junior, sophomore, freshman and eighth-grade students for leadership, dedication and positive impact

These are the new Ridgewood Student of the Month recipients.
Senior honoree is Emily Maple. She is being recognized for her warmth, positivity and responsibility. In the performing arts program, she leads through example by living up to her commitments and always working hard. She radiates a sense of warmth and is welcoming to everyone around her.
She is the daughter of Bernie and Polly Maple. At school she is involved in Syntax Error, drama class, the musical, marching band, jazz band, concert choir, chorale and National Honor Society. Outside of school she is in Winner 4-H Club, 2025 CCYL and The Cardinal Chorale.
This year Maple is looking forward to enjoying her senior year and ending on a positive note. At Ridgewood she loves the community aspect of the school and how uplifting everyone is. Her advice to other students is to always keep an open mind and to try new things.
Maple would like to thank her parents for always being her No. 1 supporters and for always encouraging her to do what she loves. Her plan is to go to a four-year college to major in music education and to minor in English. She would like to become a music educator.
The junior winner is Wesson McPherson. He is being recognized for his hard work and responsibility in class. He completes assignments with diligence and is supportive and encouraging of his classmates. Wesson is the son of Kelly and Lloyd McPherson.

In school he is involved in football, baseball, Student Council and National Honor Society. Outside of school he is involved in Boy Scouts and CCYL. He is looking forward to the upcoming baseball season.
McPherson loves the welcoming people at Ridgewood. The advice he gives to other students is keep trying. He would like to thank his parents for always pushing him to do better. His plan after graduation is to go to a university to major in natural resources.
Sophomore honoree is Rylee Miller. She is being recognized for her commitment and dedication. She earns strong grades, has perfect attendance and participates positively as a member of the cross country team. She is the daughter of Zac and Breann Miller.
At school she is involved in FFA and cross country. She is looking forward to getting good grades this year. She loves her friends at Ridgewood. Her advice to other students is study. She would like to thank her grandma for always supporting her. She plans on becoming a graphic designer after she graduates.
The freshman winner is Kelly Corbett. She is being recognized for her conscientiousness and positive example. She treats others with respect and is always polite. She is the daughter of Ursula and Travis Corbett.
At school she is involved in choir, Student Council and golf. Outside of school she is involved in 4-H. This year she is looking forward to growth in her academics. She loves her friends at Ridgewood. Her advice to other students is always have faith.
Corbett would like to thank her friends Kendal and Audrey for making her feel more confident in herself. Her future plan is to go to Marietta College and major in art.
Charli Moyer is the eighth grade nomination. She is being recognized for her positivity and ability to inspire a positive attitude in her peers. She models kindness and respect, and others can look to her as a positive example. She is the daughter of Tina and Jeremy Moyer.
At Ridgewood she is involved in soccer, track, choir and FFA. This year she was really looking forward to seeing her out-of-state best friend over Christmas break. She loves the kind atmosphere at Ridgewood.
One piece of advice Moyer would give to other students is life's too short, so don't worry about what others think. Just follow God and be yourself. She would like to thank friends and family for being there for her and supporting all her decisions.
