Mike Stiteler Memorial Benefit to support youth outdoors program Nov. 8
First-time dinner and auction honors late CCSA mentor; proceeds fuel Coshocton County Sportsmen’s Association Youth Program
When Mike (Pop) Stiteler passed away in summer 2025, the community lost a man who believed in youth and the benefit of being outdoors. Thirty years ago Stiteler started the Coshocton County Sportsmen’s Association’s Youth Program, and he was very active with it until his health declined. Those that knew him miss his friendly call of “Hey, boy” to everyone he met.
Stiteler wanted the youth of the community to experience being outdoors. He believed in teaching them to be responsible around firearms, and he wanted them to learn about archery and fishing. His passion for the youth and being an outdoorsman continues in the Coshocton County Youth Program he cared so much about.
To carry on his legacy, Stiteler’s friends and family will hold the first Mike Stiteler Memorial Benefit on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the CCSA, 21280 Township Road 283, Coshocton. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and will include barbecued chicken, scalloped potatoes, baked beans and a dessert. Water will be free, and soft drinks will be available for $1. No alcohol will be served. The cost of the dinner is $15, and takeout will be available.
After dinner an auction will be held. Donated items for the auction can be viewed that evening. All funds raised from the dinner and auction will go to the Youth Program and CCSA.
For more information or to donate items for the auction, call Gail Boyce at 740-502-1990, Jason Mizer at 740-502-6141 or Bill Dickerson at 740-502-8894.
