Herbalist Julia Brown speaks at Coshocton Business and Professional Women meeting

Owner of A Simpler Thyme shares insights on herbal learning and wellness; next meeting set for Nov. 17 at Windsorwood Place

Coshocton Business and Professional Women met Oct. 20, and the program speaker was master herbalist Julia Brown.

Coshocton Business and Professional Women met Oct. 20 at Windsorwood Place. The program speaker was master herbalist Julia Brown, owner of A Simpler Thyme (herbal learning center), author and host of Wild Woman Gypsy Fair.

The next meeting will be held at Windsorwood Place on Monday, Nov. 17. Mary Beth Slater from Slater Family Farm Outreach will be the program speaker. She is a 2024 Joan McNeely Working Woman Scholarship recipient. She will present information about how her organization provides therapeutic programs utilizing the benefits of animals. A light dinner will be prepared by President Katie Hultz and Liz Herrell for everyone to celebrate the 94th birthday of member Jean Sharier.

Coshocton Business and Professional Women is open to both women and men, employed or unemployed, in the local community. Meetings are held the third Monday at 6 p.m. at various locations with service projects, social activities, opportunities for civic participation, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. Opportunities for engagement include local, state and national participation in the organization.
