Free community chili dinner is March 29
The First Baptist Church in West Lafayette will hold a free community chili dinner from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, March 29. The church is located at 688 Main St. in West Lafayette.
The menu will be chili, cornbread, applesauce and dessert.
Pastor Ben Hartley said the church has held community dinners before. “We had a spaghetti supper on Feb. 1. We also did a spaghetti supper in April 2024 and a summer BBQ in July 2023. These were all provided free to the community.”
Pastor Hartley shared that they want to hold these suppers to help provide for the needs of others and share the true purpose of the church to the community.
“Our plan is to have a free community dinner four times a year. We are planning a summer cookout on Friday, June 27 and another spaghetti supper on Saturday, Sept. 27.”
