Easter luncheon supports women in recovery
Slater Family Farm in Coshocton hosts event for community healing and connection April 4
Blue Sky Voice and Opportunity, in partnership with Slater Family Farm Outreach, will host an Easter-themed women’s redemption luncheon at noon Saturday, April 4 at Slater Family Farm.
The event welcomes people in recovery and their families to gather for an afternoon of connection, fellowship and community. This collaboration brings together two organizations that share a heart for helping people heal and rebuild their lives. While Blue Sky Voice and Opportunity focuses on peer support for individuals in recovery, Slater Family Farm Outreach provides peer-centered experiences that support healing through connection with animals and nature.
The afternoon will include imagination play with the animals, games and an Easter egg hunt. Farm animals joining the celebration include a pig, pony, goats, sheep, bunnies, chickens and a mini cow. Guests also will receive a casual weenie roast lunch, creating space for families and community members to share time together and build connections.
Because parking at the farm is limited, attendees are encouraged to carpool and meet at the Coshocton Community Center around 11:30 a.m. to travel to the farm together. Slater Family Farm is located at 17421 Township Road 278 in Coshocton. Some GPS systems may send travelers to Fresno. Be sure directions route you off state Route 83 South.
