Contested township, school board races and levy issues to appear on Nov. 4 ballot in Coshocton County
Voters will decide multiple trustee and school board contests, along with countywide and local property tax levies for services, operations and infrastructure.
Here is a look at contested races and issues that will appear on the Coshocton County Nov. 4 general election ballots.
Contested township trustee races
—Trustee Adams Township: Two to be elected for a full four-year term commencing Jan. 1: Rickey A. Berger, Jared Hamilton and Randy Landis.
—Trustee Bedford Township: Two to be elected for a full four-year term commencing Jan. 1: Brian E. Dobson, Alan Underwood and Dudley Ray Wilson Jr.
—Trustee Clark Township: Two to be elected for a full four-year term commencing Jan. 1: Ty Myers, Christopher Williamson and Jason Williamson.
—Trustee Franklin Township: Two to be elected for a full four-year term commencing Jan. 1: Dennis L. Balo, Gregory M. Cox Jr., Devin R. Donley and Andrew D. Tumblin.
—Trustee Jefferson Township: Two to be elected for a full four-year term commencing Jan. 1: Jeffrey Fitch, Ronald Geog and Colt N. Kaser.
—Trustee Lafayette Township: Two to be elected for a full four-year term commencing Jan. 1: Ryan L. Cottrell, Michael Allen Gress, Terron E. Hothem, Christopher M. Kohman, Mark McCombs Jr. and James R. Schumaker.
—Trustee Oxford Township: Two to be elected for a full four-year term commencing Jan. 1: Michelle A. Carpenter, Travis L. Hahn and Douglas Patterson.
—Trustee Tuscarawas Township: Two to be elected for a full four-year term commencing Jan. 1: Destry L. Guilliams, Charles A. Selders, Justin A. Thompson and Don Wells.
—Trustee Virginia Township: Two to be elected for a full four-year term commencing Jan. 1: Marc Clayton Lacy Jr., Wade Sauerbrey and Thomas A. Shroyer.
—Trustee Washington Township: Two to be elected for a full four-year term commencing Jan. 1: Raymond J. Dotson, David W. Ferrell and Bruce C. Stevens.
—Trustee White Eyes Township: One to be elected for an unexpired term ending Dec. 31, 2027: Travis William Bice and Craig Hunter.
Contested board races
—Member of Ridgewood Board of Education: Two to be elected for a full four-year term commencing Jan. 1: Alan Folkert, Frank R. Mathews and Lacey Rettos McCombs.
—Member of River View Board of Education: Two to be elected for a full four-year term commencing Jan. 1: Mindy Ann Duncan, Kylee Landerman, Cord Stottlemire and Charlie Wright.
Countywide issues
—Coshocton County: Property tax renewal, 1 mill, five years, commencing in 2025, first due in 2026 for the support of children services and the care, protection and placement of abused, neglected and dependent children.
—Village of Conesville: Property tax renewal, 5 mills, five years, commencing in 2026, first due in 2027, current expenses.
—Village of Nellie: Property tax, additional 5 mills, five years, commencing in 2025, first due in 2026, current expenses.
—Village of West Lafayette: Property tax renewal, 3 mills, five years, commencing in 2025, first due in 2026, current expense.
—Jefferson Township: Property tax renewal, 1.5 mills, three years, commencing in 2026, first due in 2027, general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repair of streets, roads and bridges.
—Oxford Township: Property tax renewal, 1 mill, five years, commencing in 2026, first due in 2027, fire protection.
