Candidates seeking seats on village councils in the Nov. 4 election have competition in Carrollton, Malvern and Minerva. 

The contested candidates are: 

Carrollton (four to be elected) — Kevin Butterfield, Wilma Lambert, Travis L. Parker, Brittany Nicole Tangler, Thomas R. White 

Malvern (four to be elected) — Barbara Burgess, Craig DeLong, Tom Holmes, Marci Hubbard, Michael McCort 

Minerva council (two to be elected) — Christine M. Coe, Alex Gotschall, Jennifer L. Jordan, Aaron Stoller 

No one filed for council seats in Dellroy or Sherrodsville.

Amsterdam council — Teresa A. Black, Randall E. Grimes, Michael Keith Gump 

Bergholz council — Theodore J. Balint, Ronald Gower, Ruth Ann Kirkman, Michael J. Smyth
