Traegan Swonger, a senior at Carrollton High School, has been named one of Buckeye Career Center’s November Students of the Month. He is enrolled in the landscaping program.

Swonger, who is a two-year junior member at his church, has competed in the Landscape Olympics for BCC for the past two years. His landscaping instructor, Bruce Vandall, nominated him for the recognition.

“Landscape design isn’t something that is welcomed by many because it is hard and time-consuming. Traegan has stepped out of his comfort zone and taken to giving it his best attempt. He has competed in the landscape design competition and placed seventh,” Vandall said.

After graduation, Swonger plans to join the workforce and eventually hopes to start his own landscaping business. He is the son of Tiffany Swonger Parker.
