Carrollton Schools Alumni Foundation elects new officers
The foundation currently has a membership of more than 100 members
Four new board members were welcomed, and new officers were elected for 2026 at the Jan. 10 meeting of the Carrollton Schools Alumni Foundation held at the Aultman Building.
Elected for three-year terms were Sandy DeBertrand Newbold, CHS Class of 1971; Laiton Carter, Class of 2014; Tara Hinton Gonda, Class of 2005; and Mikayla Hinerman, Class of 2017.
Officers elected for 2026 include:
Susan Arbogast Cogan, president; Sarah Weyand Stoffer, vice president; Marcy Borland, treasurer; Courtney Rinehart and Ellyn Dunlap, secretaries; and John Davis, historian.
The remaining board members include Jackie Salisbury DeWitt, John Clark, Pam Henry Busby, Tammy Hinerman Ohler and Emilie Boring Ayers.
Monthly board meetings were set for the second Tuesday of each month September through May at 6 p.m. in the Carrollton High School Harlem Springs Room.
It was reported that 418 classroom grants totaling $115,685.80 have been received from 2003–2025, along with three Washington, D.C., and Gettysburg grants totaling $12,000 and Nature’s Classroom grants of $14,500.
Donations also have been received for the CARE Team, Backpack Program, Crochet Club, T-shirts and tree plantings, plus Ron Colaprete’s History of CHS books for classrooms and inductees.
The foundation currently has a membership of more than 100 members and a total equity balance of $179,243.96.
Lifetime memberships are $500 for a one-time purchase or $200 for a three-year option, $200 for a two-year option and $100 for a third year, with voting rights at annual meetings.
Sustaining memberships are $30, with alumni having voting rights, and associate memberships (any amount) are available for non-alumni individuals and/or institutions, organizations, businesses or corporations, with no voting rights.

The foundation’s annual Hall of Fame banquet is planned for Friday, May 1, at Carrollton High School, where the inductees for 2026 will be honored. More information and the deadline for reservations will be published in a future issue.
