James D. Cramblett was elected president of the Carroll County Fair Board, and Howard VanFossen, a member since 1918, was named an honorary life member of the board.
Jack Snively, a Carrollton Ford automobile salesman for 43 years, resigned his duties at Smith Ford on Canton Road.
Rosemary Tope of Leavittsville was commissioned as a missionary in the Methodist Church.
Trophy winners of Carrollton High School’s football team included Larry Tasker, Larry Karns, Charles Hutchison, Dick Tinlin and Bill Hemming.

Soloists for the annual community Vesper service, sponsored by the Carrollton Music Study Club, included Amy Brumbaugh, Vicki Weir, Betty Guess and Marilou Berg.
The 1975 edition of Carrollton High School’s yearbook, “The Carhisean,” placed third in the November Ohio Scholastic Press Association’s yearbook competition. Rhonda Aston was the editor, Julie Huan served as assistant editor, and Dianne Buck was the newspaper advisor.
The Minerva Local Board of Education voted to close the New Franklin Elementary School building.
Carrollton High School cross country award winners included Ralph Brady, Kevin Spears, Greg Roof, Barry Gaines, Jeff McClelland and Scott Wade. The team was coached by Craig Winters and Dan Wells.

Ralph “Red” Miller, a longtime employee of the Carroll County engineer’s map office, was the subject of a page 1 feature story.
Betty Shaver, customer-service representative at Society Bank, was pictured serving refreshments during a reopening of Society Bank’s $200,000 renovation project.
Hugh Sweeney was awarded his 55-year pin as a member of the Minerva Chapter 123 Royal Arch Masons of Carrollton.

Carroll County hunters bagged 1,692 deer during the opening week of gun season.
Pam Grim received the Carrollton Businesswoman of the Year award.
Minerva High School cagers defeated Lake 66-55 in their season basketball opener.

Performing vocal solos at Carrollton’s annual community Christmas Vesper Service were six Carrollton High School vocal music students. They included Sarah Husted, Margo George, Katie Stoneman, Mandy Meek, Dulce Myers and Sarah Dye.
The Milt and Marcy Studer residence was one of five homes featured on the Holiday Home Tour sponsored by the Carroll County Commission for the Advancement of the Arts.
Returning lettermen on the Carrollton High School basketball team were Corey Leggett, Matt Spears, Tyler Jones, Nick Castellucci, Ben Smith and Zach Pridemore.

Due to no applications received internally for the position of Carrollton village administrator, council voted to advertise the job to the general public.
Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams granted permission for his deputies to grow beards in support of Coats for Kids.
Dr. John Walters, local veterinarian, served as grand marshal of Carrollton’s 2015 Christmas parade.
Malvern senior Sara Loomis scored 30 points in the Hornets girls basketball team’s 98-39 win over the Toronto Red Knights.
