Wooster Kiwanis Strawberry Social to support Wayne County children
Proceeds will fund playgrounds, books, food pantries and youth programs
The annual Wooster Kiwanis Club Strawberry Social will be held from 4:30-8 p.m. June 9 at the main pavilion in Christmas Run Park, 700 N. Grant St., Wooster.
The social will include fresh strawberries, Buehler’s ice cream and shortcake. All children will receive a free book.
Tickets are $6 per person, with children under 5 eating for free. Tickets can be purchased at the event or in advance at Murr Printing and Graphics, 201 N. Buckeye St., Wooster.
Proceeds raised from the event help fund new local playgrounds, provide books to kids, and support the Key Club food pantries and many other community projects centered around children in Wayne County.
The event will have live music performed by Bufflehead. Tommy’s Classic American and Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee will be on location for those who would like to have dinner and a beverage with their strawberry shortcake sundae.
