President Paulette Douglas opened the Wooster Emblem Club’s March meeting according to ritual.
The club voted to approve Dottie Roberts as a candidate for state president. Pat Gerber and Val Fulton also were approved as candidates for state office.

A nominating committee was elected to prepare the slate of officers for 2026-27: Pat Gerber, Barb Flickinger, Lola Schubert, Freda Ross and Pat Hartel. Keri Merickel and Sharon Stevens will serve as alternates. Election will take place at the April meeting.
The Americanism Committee reported providing a flag to Seaman Corporation in thanks for reinforcing flags that fly over the Wayne County Courthouse. In a joint Literacy and Americanism project, winners were selected for the Presidents Day contest held at the Wayne County Public Library. Winners received gift cards and patriotic bookmarks.
The Ways and Means Committee reported the dessert tables at the Elks’ fish fry have been successful. The card party held recently was small in number, but a good time was had by all. The last Swiss steak dinner for the year will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. April 15.
Other upcoming activities include lunch and committee meetings at 11:30 a.m. April 9 at Bistro 31. The next meeting will be at 2 p.m. April 28 with election of officers. Installation of officers will be at 5:30 p.m. May 16 for social, 6 p.m. for dinner and installation at 7 p.m. Jr. Past Supreme President Molly Velez will be the installing officer.
