Wayne County Humane Society hosts bowling fundraiser
St. Patrick’s Day event in Wooster supports animal care programs.
The Wayne County Humane Society will host its St. Patrick’s Day Bowling Tournament fundraiser from 2-6 p.m. March 14 at Ballerz Sports Club, 3392 S. Columbus Road, Wooster, to raise money to support its animal care and shelter programs. Check-in will begin at 1:30 p.m., and the tournament will run until 6 p.m. Participants are encouraged to wear green.
The event will feature a singles bowling tournament using the house rules format open to all skill levels, with prizes for first, second and third place and for best dressed. Additional fundraising opportunities include a 50/50 raffle, raffle baskets and silent auction items. Registrations cost $30 per person, and bowlers may request to be paired with specific friends or family members on the same lane. Sponsors at various levels also will be recognized throughout the event.
Proceeds from ticket sales, sponsorships, raffles and other activities will go directly to the humane society to support its mission of providing care and services for companion animals in Wayne County.
