Molly Sipos named Wooster volleyball coach
Wooster alumna and Hall of Famer to lead the Generals after a successful 2025-26 season
Wooster City Schools announced the hiring of Molly Sipos as the new head coach of the Wooster High School varsity girls volleyball program.
A 2004 graduate of Wooster High School, Sipos returns to lead the Generals with a deep connection to the program’s tradition. She went on to play collegiate volleyball at the University of Akron, graduating in 2008. Sipos also is a member of the Wooster High School Hall of Fame.
“I am so excited to accept the position,” said Sipos. “This is such a special opportunity to take over a program with such a rich history and tradition. As an alumna of the Wooster volleyball program and someone who had the opportunity to play at the University of Akron, this role means so much to me. I’m excited to build off the program’s success for continued program excellence.”
Sipos brings valuable coaching experience from her time at Chippewa High School and Dalton High School and most recently has been serving within the Wooster volleyball program. Her familiarity with the athletes, school community and Generals culture positions her to continue the program’s upward momentum.
Sipos replaces longtime coach Jennifer Snowbarger and takes the helm following a successful 2025-26 season. The Generals finished with an overall record of 19-5 and placed second in the Ohio Cardinal Conference with a 12-2 conference record.
Athletic Director Joey Day expressed strong confidence in Sipos’ leadership.
“We are excited to welcome Molly to Generals athletics,” said Day. “She understands what it means to wear the yellow and blue and has demonstrated a commitment to excellence both on and off the court. We have full confidence in her ability to lead the program and continue its tradition of success.”
With a respected background as a player, coach, educator and alumna, Sipos is poised to guide the Generals into their next chapter of competitive success.
