MCC to host Global Voices Speaking Tour on climate and peace

Experts discuss climate adaptation and peacebuilding in South Asia and Africa on Feb. 21.

Mennonite Central Committee and the Anabaptist Climate Collaborative will host a Global Voices Speaking Tour from 9-11 a.m. Feb. 21 at the MCC Material Resources Center, 4080 Kidron Road, Kidron, focusing on the intersection of climate change and peacebuilding in South Asia and the Sahel region of Africa.

The MCC Friends and Alumni Gathering will feature Dr. Arefur Rahaman, MCC coordinator of food security and livelihoods in Bangladesh, and David Waiswa, MCC’s East Africa and Sahel regional peace, advocacy, and monitoring and evaluation coordinator, who will share how communities are navigating unpredictable weather patterns, drought, flood and heat through climate adaptation and peacebuilding.
