Hearts for Heartland fundraiser returns to Orrville
The Aug. 7 event will support Heartland Education Community programs for Orrville students
The annual Hearts for Heartland fundraiser will return to Orrville Aug. 7 at Jarrett headquarters, located at 1347 N. Main St., bringing a coastal theme with entertainment by Yacht Rock Gold Experience.
“The Hearts for Heartland Fundraiser Inc. reminds us just how much we can accomplish when a community comes together," said Sara Reith, Heartland Education Community Board of Trustees member and executive director of OHuddle Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported by HEC. "Every bid, every ticket and every sponsorship provide student resources and support they need to thrive. We are grateful for the generosity of the Orrville community and look forward to a successful fundraising event this year that will benefit the students of Orrville."
The annual fundraiser includes silent and live auctions, dinner provided by Old Carolina Barbecue, a recognition ceremony honoring students involved in HEC programs and entertainment by Yacht Rock Gold Experience.
Bidders can preview silent auction items online prior to the event and continue bidding during the event. This year’s items include a heated recliner, a gourmet food basket and more. Items from the live auction include a weeklong condo stay in Sarasota, Florida, home game football tickets to see the Ohio State Buckeyes and many other items.
General admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children, with limited VIP tickets available for $50 for all ages. Children under age 2 are welcome free of charge. Corporate sponsorship opportunities also are available for those interested in supporting the event.
Yacht Rock Gold Experience is a tribute show that recreates the hits of late 1970s and early 1980s soft rock artists like the Doobie Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, Christopher Cross, Kenny Loggins and more.

Last year’s Hearts for Heartland Fundraiser raised more than $100,000 for HEC, which supports Orrville students through programs including OHuddle mentorship, Character Counts, English Language Learners and lifelong learning programs. Every dollar from this year’s event goes directly to that work.
