The Medina High School Drama Club will present the Tony Award-winning Broadway play "Peter and the Starcatcher," based on the best-selling novels that reimagine how a miserable orphan became The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up — Peter Pan.

Performances will take place Friday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m. on the Medina High School Middle Stage. Tickets are $5 for students, $8 for seniors, and $10 for adults. The show runs about 140 minutes with an intermission and is recommended for ages 10 and up for mild violence and some loud noises.

The play follows a young orphan and his friends who are sent from Victorian England to a distant island ruled by the evil King Zarboff. Unaware that the captain’s cabin holds a mysterious trunk filled with magical starstuff, they meet Molly, a Starcatcher-in-training who must keep the substance out of the wrong hands. When pirates — led by the fearsome Black Stache — seize the ship, the journey becomes a fast-paced, comic, and heartwarming adventure.

Scott), Colin Graham (Bumbrake), Maya Becker (Fighting Prawn), Katie Gerber (Alf), Teagan Banner (Grempkin), Lucas Campbell (Mack), Sam Zeitvogel (Mack/Hawking Clam), Alex Bell (Slank), and Laila Patilla (Ensemble).
