Medina High climbs in U.S. News & World Report rankings
Medina High School has once again earned recognition as one of the top-performing schools in Ohio, according to the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings.
In 2021, Medina High School ranked No. 129 out of 941 schools statewide. This year, the school rose to No. 60, up from No. 68 in 2024. That places Medina High School in the top 6% of schools in the state.
In addition to its state ranking, Medina High School is recognized as:
-
No. 19 in the Cleveland metro area
-
No. 2 in Medina County
The U.S. News & World Report rankings are based on a comprehensive review of student performance on state-required assessments, graduation rates and the school’s success in preparing students for college and postsecondary opportunities.
“We are incredibly proud of our students, staff and community for their continued commitment to excellence,” said Tina Cassidy, director of instruction. “This recognition reflects the hard work of our educators and the dedication of our students to achieving their goals. We remain focused on providing high-quality learning experiences that prepare every student for success beyond high school.”
Medina High School’s improvement in the rankings underscores the district’s ongoing commitment to prioritizing academic achievement, innovative teaching practices and college readiness.
