Medina County District Library is accepting applications for a new trustee to join its Board of Trustees beginning Jan. 1, 2026.
The four-year term will run through Dec. 31, 2029. Applications open Oct. 1 and must be submitted by Friday, Nov. 1, 2025.
Ideal candidates, according to the library, are committed to intellectual freedom, willing to help position the library for future success and able to represent the voices of the community. Trustees are expected to attend all regular and special board meetings, typically held at 6 p.m. on the third Monday of each month.
Board members help develop policies for library operations, review and approve the budget, and oversee the hiring of the library director and fiscal officer. Trustees also act as advocates for the role the library plays in the community. Applicants must be registered voters within the library’s service area.
Applications are available at mcdl.info/BoardVacancy. Completed forms should be returned to Court of Common Pleas, Courtroom 3A, 225 E. Washington St., Medina, OH 44256, or by fax at 330-764-8445.
