Medina City Schools' annual pancake breakfast, student showcase is Jan. 24

Annual community event at Medina High School features breakfast, student artwork and live performances supporting the Medina City Schools Foundation

Medina City Schools will host a community pancake breakfast and student showcase Jan. 24, 2026, at Medina High School, featuring student artwork, live performances and proceeds benefiting the Medina City Schools Foundation.
The pancake breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon Jan. 24, 2026, in the Medina High School cafeteria, with $5 tickets and free admission for seniors 60 and older.

Medina City Schools will host its annual Community Pancake Breakfast and Spotlight on Students on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, inviting residents to enjoy breakfast while celebrating student creativity and performance.

The event will run from 8 a.m. to noon in the main cafeteria at Medina High School, 777 E. Union St. Breakfast will include pancakes, bacon, syrup, milk, juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Tickets are $5 per person and are available online at medinabees.org. Tickets may also be purchased at both Medina Buehler’s locations from Jan. 5–24, 2026. Admission is free for senior citizens ages 60 and older.

In addition to breakfast, the event will feature a student artwork showcase highlighting work from all grade levels. Live student performances will take place on the Performing Arts Center main stage from 9 a.m.-noon.

The performance schedule includes:

  • 9–9:15 a.m.: Canavan Elementary Glee Club

  • 9:15–9:30 a.m.: Waite Elementary

  • 9:30–9:45 a.m.: Northrop Elementary Choir

  • 9:45–10 a.m.: Northrop grade-level performance

  • 10–10:15 a.m.: Blake Elementary fifth-grade poetry reading

  • 10:15–10:30 a.m.: Fenn Elementary Choir

  • 10:30–10:45 a.m.: Sparkle Cheerleaders

  • 10:45–11:15 a.m.: Medina High School Stardusters Jazz Ensemble

  • 11:30 a.m.-noon: Medina High School Encore Entertainment Company

Performances are subject to change.

The event is sponsored by Acme Fresh Market, Borden, Discount Drug Mart and Huntington Bank.

All net proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Medina City Schools Foundation, supporting programs and services for students and staff, including the Joyce B. Ebner Tutoring Center at Medina High School.
