As the leaves turn red and gold, Main Street Medina will host its Fall Festival on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with food, entertainment and activities for all ages.
The event features free fall-themed attractions, including a hay maze, pumpkin painting, a petting zoo, demonstrations of old-fashioned cider making, and face painting and balloon art.
The Puppy Parade, sponsored by All American Gutter Protection, will step off at the Medina County Courthouse entrance before circling the festival and the Square. Judging for best costumes and cutest pet will take place at the sponsor’s tent, and every four-legged participant will receive homemade treats.
Visitors can also sample chili during the Fall Festival Chili Cook-off, sponsored by Sandridge Crafted Foods. Judges will select their favorites at noon, followed by public tastings of 10 recipes and fan voting. Each attendee can vote once, and additional ballots can be purchased for $5, with proceeds benefiting Cups Cafe. Judges’ choice and fan favorite winners will be announced at 1 p.m.
Other attractions include the Medina County District Library’s Book Bike, line dancing, and a fall-themed photo opportunity sponsored by Boyert’s Greenhouse & Farm. The festival coincides with the weekly Medina Square Farmers Market, which continues through Oct. 4.
Sponsors include title sponsor Bo Lacey Construction; presenting sponsor Serpentini of Medina; supporting sponsors Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital, Renewal by Andersen and Summa Health; partnering sponsors Dominic’s Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant, LeafFilter Gutter Protection, the Ohio Arts Council and Sam Custer State Farm; and activities sponsor Omni Fiber.
