Ken Cleveland Foundation gives $3 million gift to Medina County Career Center

The Ken Cleveland Foundation has donated $3 million to the Medina County Career Center to build a new HVAC and electrical trades facility set to open in the 2026-27 school year.

Since 1974, the Medina County Career Center has served the community by empowering students to achieve their goals and build brighter futures. That mission has been made possible through the support of community members, business partners and dedicated educators.

This fall, the school enters its second half-century of service with another milestone: a $3 million gift from Ken and Patricia Cleveland and the Ken Cleveland Foundation. The donation will fund a new collaborative HVAC and electrical trades building, planned to open for the 2026-27 school year.

The new facility will complement the Ken Cleveland Construction Trades Center, which opened for the 2024-25 school year, and will allow MCCC to expand its construction trades curriculum at a time of increased demand.

The Career Center expressed gratitude for the Cleveland family’s continued investment in students and programs that prepare them for in-demand careers.

“Wishing all our educators, administrators and students a safe, successful and happy start to a new school year,” the center said in a statement.
