Highland Schools hosting ‘Drive a Bus’ hiring event Oct. 25
Adults 21+ can test drive a bus 9 a.m. to noon at Granger Elementary as district recruits substitute and permanent drivers with paid training and benefits
The Highland Local School District will host a Not Scary Drive A Bus hiring event on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon, in the parking lot of Granger Elementary School, 1724 Wilbur Road, Medina. Participants, who may have been afraid, will have the opportunity to test drive a Highland Local School District bus to experience what it is like to get behind the wheel of a school bus. Participants must be 21 years old and have a valid driver's license.
Though pre-registration is not required, interested participants can expedite the sign-in process at the event by filling out the RSVP document at http://bit.ly/3J21olh
The Highland Local School District is currently hiring substitute and permanent bus drivers. Drivers who are successfully hired will receive paid training, competitive pay rates, and will be eligible for benefits.
For questions or additional information about the event, please contact Tonya Hartwell at transportation@highlandschools.org or call 330.239.1901 ext. 1219.
