Healing Hearts members celebrated their October meeting with creative costumes and will gather Nov. 24 at the Brunswick Library for a Thanksgiving turkey dinner open to widows and widowers.

Forty-four members and two guests met for the monthly Healing Hearts meeting, with many entering into the spirit of the season by wearing imaginative and creative costumes. Outstanding costumes included a ladybug, a mummy shirt, a hippie, a couple of fishermen, an army dudette and more witches than could be counted. But the showstopper came dressed in White Castle slider garb.

Cheryl ended the meeting with the song “It’s My Life,” reminding members that they have a purpose on this earth and that the challenge is to find it while bringing help and joy to others.

The November meeting will be held Monday, Nov. 24, at 1 p.m. in the Brunswick Library, a change from the usual Wednesday meeting. The group will share a Thanksgiving turkey dinner.

All widows and widowers are welcome to attend and learn more about Healing Hearts. For questions, contact westfach@gmail.com.
