Millersburg Tire Service donates 150 pillows to Pomerene Hospital
Inspired by his wife’s care experience, owner Brad Schmucker made the gift on behalf of his grandchildren to bring added comfort to hospital patients.
Sometimes generosity starts with a simple conversation.
At this year’s Holmes County Fair, Pomerene Hospital staff members were greeting visitors at their booth when local business owner Brad Schmucker of Millersburg Tire Service stopped by. After chatting with the team, Schmucker mentioned he wanted to give something back to the hospital.
His wife had recently been treated in the emergency department, and the experience made him think about the small comforts that make a big difference during a hospital stay. Wanting to help others, he chose to meet a simple but important need: pillows.
On behalf of his grandchildren, Schmucker provided 150 EverLuxe wipeable pillows that will be used across the emergency, inpatient and outpatient departments to provide comfort to patients every day.
