Weekly Blessing
Jesus is in it
A faith-filled reflection on trusting God’s guidance through life’s uncertain path
It is an unexpected journey with rocks, puddles, dust and rubble,
But forward walking with my Lord in his righteous, leading, protective bubble.
It is a challenge, I would say,
But Jesus is showing me the way.
I had to rest, but I don’t know why,
But I’ll just trust with my sigh.
God’s good plan has a light within.
It is leading and shines without growing dim.
This plan I don’t know, but God takes the lead.
I choose to follow, and from his table he’ll feed.
There’s plenty of seating, for others are there too.
God has no favorites as each of us pursue.
We are all loved with our master’s extended arm,
And we’re all protected from every life‘s harm.
The good shepherd has an everlasting, watchful eye.
I hear his voice, and he hears when I cry.
I’m not to fear at all, he says to me,
For this journey being walked is blissful and free.
He takes my hand and gently leads.
I’ll obey his voice as he tenderly pleads.
Through the unexpected curves with a twist,
At my Jesus’ feet, I’ll obediently sit.
His words are pleasant and sprinkled with much care.
He says, “I’m here, my child. I’ve not gone anywhere.”
My light still shines as you walk,
With the “good news” and a testimonial talk.
Another chapter is about to finish.
The storyline is perfect because Jesus is in it.
