Toys for Tots drive continues through Dec. 12 in Hartville

Hartville Lions Club and Edward Jones office gather new, unwrapped toys to brighten Christmas for local children

Hartville Lions President Patrick Helderman stands by their collection box for Toys for Tots.

The drive for the 2025 Toys for Tots campaign ends the week of Dec. 8. If you want to bring a smile to a child's face on Christmas, consider donating a toy to the annual Toys for Tots campaign.

New, unwrapped toys in their original packages should be brought to the Edward Jones office of Hartville Lions Club President Patrick Helderman and Lion Kathy Gopp, 650 South Prospect Ave., Suite 207, Hartville, Ohio 44632. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Toys may be dropped off from now until Dec. 12. Thank you for your generosity.

Helderman’s Edward Jones office is the only Edward Jones office in Hartville. If you need their services and live in this community, they are close for conducting business with them. They both thank you for your kindness and generosity with the Toys for Tots program.

The Hartville Lions Club actively participates in the Toys for Tots program, collecting toys for children in need during the holiday season and bringing joy to countless families. In addition to the toy collections, they help with a photo shoot and other efforts to make this program a success.

Toys for Tots is a program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve that distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them Christmas gifts. It was founded in 1947 by reservist Maj. Bill Hendricks. The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity located in Triangle, Virginia, raises funds for and supports the program.
