The Marlboro Township Historical
Society will hold its annual meeting and dinner Thursday, Sept. 18, at Sable
Creek Golf Course, 5942 Edison St. NE. Doors open at 6 p.m.
The evening will highlight the
society’s progress on the restoration of the Dr. Kersey G. Thomas Home &
Office and ongoing efforts to advance its mission. Featured speaker Dr. David
Mungo, a Marlboro resident, orthopedic surgeon and Civil War enthusiast, will
present “The Role of Marlboro and Our Neighbors in the Civil War.”
Dinner will include Parmesan panko
chicken breast, stuffed shells, green beans almandine, romaine salad, French
bread, dessert, and beverages, with a cash bar available. Tickets are $25 per
